Jiha Moon News + Final Week to See Third Solo at Curator's Office

J I H A   M O O N    |    A n   E x a c t   P l a c e

thru December 19, 2009, Wed - Sat, 12 - 6 then by appointment in late December

Curator's Office is pleased to present the third solo exhibition of Korean-born artist Jiha Moon. For this exhibition, the gallery will present works exploring the nature of place and its inspiration on creative output. Works include three square-format Hanji paper over canvas pieces and four horizontal works on Hanji paper. There is a special emphasis on abstraction in many of these works. As Moon is currently an artist-in-residence at The Fabric Workshop in Philadelphia, the influence of textiles is subtly apparent as several works incorporate small embroidered areas, a departure for the artist.

Other News about Jiha Moon:

·  Jiha Moon in collaboration with Rachel Hayes in Mergers & Acquisitions, an exhibition curated by Stuart Horodner at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center Atlanta, GA through February 14, 2010.

·  Jiha Moon to be in a group exhibition at The Fabric Museum Workshop, Philadelphia, PA in late Spring 2010.

·  Jiha Moon is finalizing the details on a very limited edition silk scarf at The Fabric Museum Workshop based on Botan Garden, a work currently on view at Curator's Office. (see image above). Please contact gallery for details.

·  Jiha Moon's work, Jade Valley (2007), is featured on the cover of the Atlantan Magazine this month.
